Mike and I went out to dinner a few nights ago with some friends, and I discovered that there really are more people reading my blog than I had imagined. So, I figured it was time for a little family update.
Audrey has just graduated from Kindergarten and she is looking forward to being a first grader. She doesn't understand the concept of summer break and was mad when she found out she has to wait three months to actually start first grade! Ohh, I hope this excitement for school will last for many years to come!!! Audrey just had her 6th birthday, Kindergarten Program, and her second dance recital. Busy, busy May!
Parker (Audrey's cousin) & Audrey
Sadie can't seem to give up her thumb sucking, one of these days I suppose I should try doing something about it. Sadie loves to play outside with friends and cousins. She wants to do everything Audrey does, and often seems much older than three. She had a sleep over at Aunt Kanoni's this week, and she was just beaming from ear to ear when I told her she was invited. Thanks Aunt Non! Sadie has learned to spell her name, and who know's what else. She's not big on showing off, so it's hard to know just how much she really does now. Sadie's latest phrase is, "What the Hell?" Yikes, I know she's picked that up from me, and it's a good lesson I'M learning! Oh dear! I know I've got trouble on my hands with her!
Porter just had his first birthday. He is growing and learning by leaps and bounds. He took his first steps last week. He also learned to clap and wave good bye last week as well. Gears seem to be turning faster and faster with him and I'm starting to have a hard time keeping up. He is a mild tempered, happy, and sweet boy! He prefers mom if I'm around, but enjoys spending time with dad too. He is full of kisses and you are sure to get on if you ask him. Porter LOVES animals, especially dogs. He still doesn't sleep at night, and he is still putting everything into his mouth. We hope these two habbits end very soon!
Last but not least, here are the kids Spring Pictures! I have lot's of extra prints if you didn't get one and want one. Just let me know! Hope you enjoyed the update!
I can't believe how big your kids are getting. And they are all so beautiful, Jen! Funny how Sadie sticks her finger up her nose when she sucks her thumb. My brother used to do that....until he was 18 yrs old. Good luck with that!
ReplyDeleteahh i can't believe what saddie said, that made my day! i can't wait to get paige in dance, audrey looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteand are you talking about the book host from her? I rent the books from the library and i'm still like 20 in line so i won't get to read it for at least a month, but i'll let you know how it is!
It's about time you updated with pictures! :) Very cute tutu -- it's fun to have them take dance lessons, minus the busyness and the $$ for all the EXTRA's they require. Sadie's hair is getting so long -- I love the dark brown! I can't believe how big Porter is either, very cute pictures! We need to get the kids together and play -- of course after we're out of school. Arg!
ReplyDeleteJen, Your kids are SOOOO Stinkin' CUTE!! Love the update!
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable! It sounds like you're a busy mom with talented kids. I think the thumb sucking is cute. We need to get Alexander and Sadie together. They could be thumb-sucking buddies.
